Who we are and what we do
We are an all male acapella (unaccompanied) harmony chorus providing a continuous high quality educational barbershop singing programme. The only chorus of it's type in Somerset, we have a membership of around 30 members and are based in Taunton. We perform at many events including concerts, shows, weddings, birthdays and anniversaries.
When and where do we meet?
We meet every Thursday at Oakwood Church Centre, Obridge Road, Taunton, TA2 7PU between 7pm and 9pm.
The aim of The Rivertones
Is to encourage the enjoyment of singing. On the Outside it would appear that we attend regular Chorus rehearsals, but there is so much more to it than that. On the Inside ... its a stress reliever ... a sense of belonging ... a mood changer ... confidence booster ... a place you are accepted ... a creative outlet ... an extended family ... a support system ... a challenge ... a place to discover your best self ... with a goal to change people's lives through music ... and above all we just love to perform to show off our singing skills!!

Bookings
We sing because we enjoy it and any income received pays for the licensing and copyright of our music and for items of uniform. Our charges do not reflect the quality and quantity of what we provide. We can provide a smaller group in the region of 8-15 singers or a larger chorus where between 16 to 25 men entertain your guests - all dressed to impress in smart dress suits and bow ties or in Rivertones casual wear
